Clutch Moto apparel is comprised of three main protection features; abrasion resistance, burst prevention and impact protection. To ensure our customers are protected against unplanned outcomes, we’ve invested a lot of time into research and testing to achieve superior results in these areas.
You can’t ignore the risk, but you can reduce the risk of serious injury. This is how we do that:
Abrasion Resistance – Clutch Moto denim is lined with SuperFabric® in key impact zones to ensure it reaches the highest standards of abrasion resistance. SuperFabric® utilises a series of tiny guard plates infused into the material to create a highly abrasion resistant material that acts and feels like regular fabric. Clutch Moto denim combined with SuperFabric®, has been laboratory tested and these independent results indicated a AAA abrasion rating for Tech 110’s and a AA rating for our other Moto Denim products like Selvedge. These results were achieved under the new testing protocols EN17092 and ISO17025, which are used to determine CE standards.

Impact Protection – Clutch Moto has chosen Forcefield Isolator body armour because they have developed a world-leading soft armour technology that offers unrivalled protection. The heat activated properties create a custom fit to ensure they remain secure in place. In addition, they have been tested and passed against the latest CE standards (including ambient and wet tests).
Clutch Moto’s Tech 110s come standard with the 8mm Isolator level 1 hip and knee protection. Customers can upgrade to a 12mm Isolator level 2 package at an additional cost. Contact Clutch moto on email@example.com for information on how to upgrade.

Burst Prevention – A common failure and cause of serious injury can occur when the seams burst. That’s why all Clutch Moto denim is triple-stitched including a concealed line of stitching. This provides maximum strength to prevent seams bursting on impact.
Raw Japanese Denim – Not all denim is created equal. Japanese Denim is milled on vintage looms and is known for its superior quality. Raw denim has not been prewashed so it starts as a hardwearing blank denim canvas that softens and textures the more you wear it. Essentially, the presence of the raw dye lets you breathe life into it by creating fades, creases and shapes to reflect your unique movements and lifestyle. What you get is premium denim that is distinctly you.
Selvedge Denim – Considered by denim enthusiasts as the signature of high-quality denim. Made on rare, vintage shuttle looms, this special denim is rich in texture, character and quality. Clutch Moto has partnered with Kaihara Denim to create custom Selvedge Denim that is unlike any other riding pant on the market.
This denim is meant to feel stiff initially. Remember to review our care instructions to learn more about the best way of maintaining your denim as well as breaking them in.
